Business Development Manager – MASC Solutions

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of our MASC (fire detection and gas suppression) solutions in the South African market. You will combine strategic planning with hands‑on sales execution to expand revenue and strengthen client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies for fire detection and gas suppression systems.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify new revenue streams.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
• Make at least 25 sales calls per week and ensure high client satisfaction with zero sales‑related complaints.
• Provide technical guidance on system design, installation and maintenance to clients and internal teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date with SANS standards, regulatory requirements and industry trends.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers, craft tailored proposals and deliver compelling presentations.
• Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in electronic security, fire detection, and gas suppression.
• Proven track record in solution‑based sales and system design.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• SAQCC certification in Fire Detection & Gas Suppression.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of fire detection systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of gas suppression systems.
• System design expertise for safety solutions.
• Familiarity with SANS standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
