Business Development Manager (Dealmaker)

About the role

This is a pure hunter position within a leading specialised financial services provider. You will originate and close corporate funding transactions across invoice discounting, trade finance, purchase order finance, stock finance and broader working capital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition in the working capital and invoice finance space.
• Identify, engage and convert prospective clients into long‑term partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with CFOs, Financial Directors and business owners.
• Present tailored funding solutions aligned to client cash‑flow requirements.
• Develop and leverage introducer and referral networks to grow pipeline activity.
• Consistently exceed sales and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Finance, Marketing or a related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in trade finance, working capital or corporate lending.
• Proven track record in business development and solution‑based sales within financial services.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and deal‑closing abilities.
• Resilient, commercially minded and target driven.
