Business Development Executive – Commercial Account Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive/Commercial Account Executive will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and work within the Commercial Sales & Marketing department. The primary aim is to drive revenue growth across Africa by acquiring new high‑value accounts, expanding existing client relationships, and promoting the company’s brand in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new premium institutional and corporate accounts across Africa.
• Build and manage a scalable sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
• Maintain and grow existing client portfolios through strategic account planning, cross‑selling, upselling and renewal management.
• Conduct SWOT analyses for each client and develop actionable road‑maps to maximise lifetime value.
• Monitor market and industry trends to uncover new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to capture branding opportunities at client sites.
• Act as a brand ambassador, enhancing the company’s reputation in all client interactions.

Required profile

• Proven ability to generate premium revenue growth in a B2B environment.
• Experience managing high‑value client accounts and developing strategic road‑maps.
• Strong understanding of the African market and ability to expand footprint across organisations.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with a focus on client retention and expansion.
• Results‑driven mindset with the capacity to meet or exceed sales targets.
