About the role
Potentiam is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to join its sales team in Cape Town. You will work closely with senior decision‑makers across UK and European companies, helping them address operational challenges through offshore talent solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct outbound outreach to CEOs, founders, and C‑suite executives in target markets.
- Qualify prospects through consultative discovery conversations and book high‑quality meetings for Relationship Directors.
- Develop and manage target account lists using an Account Based Marketing (ABM) approach.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to convert inbound and outbound leads.
- Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and reporting in HubSpot.
- Support the transition of qualified opportunities into long‑term client relationships.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or business development.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and target‑driven.
- Experience in consultative or professional services sales is preferred.
