Business Development Executive – B‑BBEE Consulting & Learnerships

About the role

The Business Development Executive will identify, develop and secure new business opportunities for the company's B‑BBEE consulting, learnership management, skills development, enterprise development and transformation services. The role involves generating revenue, building long‑term client relationships and positioning the company as a trusted transformation partner.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new corporate clients through networking, LinkedIn, referrals and cold calling; build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Build relationships with HR Directors, Procurement Managers, Transformation Managers, CEOs and CFOs; conduct needs analyses and present tailored B‑BBEE and skills development solutions.
• Promote B‑BBEE consulting services such as scorecard consulting, gap analysis, verification, ownership strategies and supplier development.
• Promote learnership and skills development services including implementation, learner recruitment, project management and workplace mentoring.
• Prepare professional proposals, quotations and presentations; respond to RFQs, negotiate commercial terms and close new business.

Required profile

• Matric Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, HR or Commerce.
• 3–5 years of business development experience with proven sales results, preferably in B‑BBEE consulting, skills development or learnerships.
• Strong understanding of B‑BBEE Codes of Good Practice, Skills Development legislation and SETA/QCTO landscape.
• Behavioural competencies: results‑driven, self‑motivated, high integrity, customer focused and entrepreneurial mindset.
