Key Account Manager (2 positions)

About the role

Icebolethu Group is looking for two Key Account Managers to provide leadership within the Corporate Department, drive corporate scheme sales growth, manage key client relationships, ensure operational efficiency and FAIS compliance, and oversee team performance to deliver exceptional customer service. This position is based in Durban.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily Corporate Department operations, plan duty rosters, manage leave, and oversee team performance while maintaining high morale.
• Drive corporate sales targets through cold‑calling, setting up executive appointments, and executing sales activations.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with corporate decision‑makers, handle query escalations, and execute retention strategies.
• Enforce strict FAIS and FSCA regulatory compliance through staff training, quality audits, and call monitoring.
• Oversee telephonic and written client communications to ensure professional, multi‑lingual, high‑quality service delivery.
• Compile weekly and monthly performance reports, maintain client databases, keep meeting records, and manage office inventory.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in key account management, corporate sales, or client relationship management within a medium‑to‑large service organization.
• Proven track record in corporate cold‑calling, client presentations, team supervision, and regulatory compliance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields.
• Professional or regulatory certificates (e.g., FAIS compliance); experience in the Insurance or Funeral/Burial industry is an advantage.
