Business Development Associate - Industrial Software

About the role

Digital Industries (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Business Development Associate to drive growth for its industrial software solutions. The role reports to the Head of Sales and suits a results-driven person who thrives in complex, high-value sales environments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the business development strategy for industrial software solutions.
• Build executive-level relationships with decision-makers in mining, manufacturing and energy sectors.
• Engage directly with customers at all levels and lead solution-based selling initiatives.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities and grow market share with new customers.
• Achieve net new sales growth targets and own the sales function in qualified tenders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and monitor market trends and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Matric; a relevant diploma or certification is preferred.
• 3+ years in B2B or B2E sales, preferably in industrial software or technology solutions.
• Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and hitting targets.
• Understanding of industrial processes and digital transformation, and ability to travel within the SADC region.

Required skills

• Sales and negotiation, including consultative selling and advanced negotiation for high-value deals.
• CRM tools and data analytics, with the ability to interpret market data and KPIs.
• Ability to present to C-level executives and write compelling business cases and proposals.
