Business Developer – Tracking Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Developer to join the ASTRA – SO Department of Robert Bosch South Africa. You will drive new business for our tracking and telematics solutions across a range of industries, helping clients improve asset visibility and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify and develop new leads in logistics, transportation, construction, agriculture, mining, rental fleets, security and personal use sectors.
• Conduct needs assessments, present tailored tracking solutions and demonstrate ROI.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal, negotiation and contract signing.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying upsell opportunities.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and product developments in the South African telematics market.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates for management.

Required profile

• Motivated, results‑driven with strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Deep understanding of the South African market and the industries served.
• Proven experience in sales of tracking, telematics or asset management solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
