Business Controller

About the role

The Business Controller will partner with managers and employees to improve financial understanding, performance and profitability across the organisation. You will challenge existing processes, identify improvement opportunities and ensure targets are set and monitored.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance monthly reporting and KPI dashboards.
• Collaborate with credit control to recover outstanding vehicle sales debtors.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations within vehicle operations.
• Work closely with business control, finance, and Aftersales teams on ad‑hoc tasks.
• Conduct financial analysis, month‑end close, and prepare financial projections and vehicle planning.
• Review price lists with sales and business support functions.
• Travel as required for expense reviews, income‑statement discussions and meetings.

Required profile

• Finance‑related degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong attention to detail, process‑driven and able to meet strict deadlines.
• Independent, initiative‑taking and comfortable working under pressure.
• Adaptable to a dynamic, changing business environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to Hyperion HFM (advantageous).
• Familiarity with dealer management systems (advantageous).
