Business Banker (PE Business Centre)

About the role

Capitec Bank is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Business Banker for its PE Business Centre. The role provides a business-centre-based sales and service function that retains and grows a portfolio of business clients by offering value-added and specialised business banking products, from standard to customised solutions.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of banking experience
• Experience managing a portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus
• Experience preparing and motivating credit applications
• Experience in cost control and sales management
• Ideal: 1+ year in a business banking environment preparing and motivating credit applications
• Diploma in Commerce or Finance (minimum)
• Ideal: FAIS accredited as a Key Individual and approved by the FSCA
• Criminal and credit record clear
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and public holidays

Required skills

• Customer relationship management (CRM) principles and techniques
• Reading financial statements, balance sheets and basic financial ratios
• Knowledge of business banking products, collateral and multiple legal entity types, and the CPIC Act
• Knowledge of FAIS, FICA and banking regulations
• Interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
