Brewery Controller – Financial Excellence

About the role

The Brewery Controller ensures financial excellence at the brewery by implementing strong controls, fostering accountability, and delivering reliable cost accounting and P&L reporting. You will support operational discipline, improve visibility and predictability of costs, and drive month‑end closing efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the plant’s closing cycle, ensuring accurate transfer pricing, VIC/VLC, ZBB and asset bookings.
• Maintain first‑time‑right postings and prevent manual journal errors.
• Manage plant inventory and CAPEX, ensuring compliance with PRC and IFRS standards.
• Act as first line of defense for internal controls, reviewing PR‑GR cycles, co‑product lifecycle and returnable packaging.
• Oversee internal and external tax reporting, liaising with the tax team for timely filings and inspections.
• Provide forecasting inputs to operations, Zone Financial Planning and PPM teams.
• Analyze cost variances, yields, consumptions and utility reconciliations.
• Ensure GRN compliance, journal reallocation accuracy and approve journals per DAG policy.
• Account for co‑products and returnable packaging, ensuring invoicing completeness and accurate aging.

Required profile

• Strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting and plant finance operations.
• Experience with IFRS, PRC standards and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, CAPEX and tax reporting in a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical mindset with expertise in variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to first‑time‑right financial postings.
