Brand Manager

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a dynamic Brand Manager to lead Brand and Trade Marketing initiatives across South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will shape campaigns that blend local insight with global strategy, driving growth for both Direct‑to‑Consumer and wholesale channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the marketing activity calendar for DTC and wholesale channels.
• Own end‑to‑end campaign and promotional rollouts, coordinating internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Develop demand‑generation plans and manage PR activities to maximise earned media.
• Oversee social‑media planning and partner channel execution.
• Serve as daily point of contact for third‑party agencies.
• Track key metrics and prepare monthly, campaign and quarterly business reviews.
• Manage direct reports: Brand Assistant and team intern.
• Collaborate with the Ecommerce Manager on digital initiatives.
• Coordinate development, sourcing, production and delivery of marketing and retail tools.
• Support events, influencer marketing, seeding and e‑commerce activities.
• Evaluate proposals and manage budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a similar Brand or Trade Marketing role.
• Proven retail and trade‑marketing experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
