Branch Manager - uMhlanga

About the role

Liberty is looking for a Branch Manager for its uMhlanga branch in KwaZulu-Natal. The role leads the branch's overall performance and strategy, managing people, processes and systems while driving business growth, especially through recruiting, developing and retaining a team of Broker Consultants. It requires strong operational management, compliance with FSCA regulations and the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principle, and alignment with Liberty's corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all branch operations and use personnel, systems and processes efficiently to hit profitability targets.
• Drive business growth by expanding the client base and increasing market share.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of Broker Consultants, including recruitment, retention and development programmes.
• Promote a client-centric approach and fair treatment of customers.
• Ensure strict adherence to FSCA requirements and TCF principles.
• Manage the branch's operational budget and monitor financial performance against targets.
• Align the branch's objectives and execution with Liberty's corporate strategy.

Required profile

• First degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Marketing.
• Valid FAIS Representative licence.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in insurance, financial services or asset management.
• 3-5 years of management experience overseeing teams or large operational areas.
• Track record in sales and distribution management, including recruiting and developing financial advisers.
• Able to lead diverse teams, including independent contractors.

Required skills

• Understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and client service, with emphasis on TCF.
• Experience managing operational budgets and achieving financial targets.
