Branch Manager – Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

Our client, a leading logistics and supply‑chain organisation, is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead the Klerksdorp branch. The role combines operational oversight, financial stewardship and people leadership to ensure high‑quality service, cost efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the branch operational plan in line with corporate strategy.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, fleet utilisation, equipment and staff scheduling to meet service targets.
• Oversee route planning, fleet maintenance and cost control while monitoring operational KPIs.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Lead governance activities, including policy adherence, audits and third‑party supplier management.
• Produce regular operational and financial reports, analyse performance data and recommend improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and service providers.
• Recruit, onboard, coach and evaluate branch employees, manage labour budgets and drive performance through KPIs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a logistics or supply‑chain branch, preferably with fleet and freight operations.
• Strong understanding of operational planning, budgeting and KPI‑driven performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer‑service orientation.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
