Branch Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

Lead a high‑performing logistics operation at the Polokwane branch of an established national logistics and supply chain company. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operational, financial and people management, ensuring exceptional service delivery and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all daily branch operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Control budgets, monitor profitability and implement cost‑control measures.
• Drive operational efficiencies, continuous improvement and fleet utilisation.
• Oversee route planning, KPI monitoring and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and operational standards.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing team, handling labour planning, recruitment and employee development.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports and analyse branch performance.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric); logistics or supply‑chain qualification is advantageous.
• 3‑5 years of experience in branch management or senior operations within transport, courier, logistics or supply‑chain.
• Strong leadership, commercial acumen and customer‑relationship skills.
• Experience managing budgets, profitability and operational KPIs.
• Good understanding of labour legislation and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with reporting tools.
