Branch Manager - Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Branch Manager in Pietermaritzburg to lead and manage its insurance brokerage branch. The role covers people, processes and systems, aiming for sustainable profitability and a client-focused, high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage branch operations and resources to deliver sustainable profitability
• Drive business growth through recruitment, retention and management of diverse Broker Consultants
• Ensure company objectives align with adviser execution

Required profile

• First degree in Business, Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Marketing or a related field
• 1-2 years of sales and sales & distribution experience
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in insurance, financial services or asset management, including at least 3-5 years at management level
• Proven experience managing operational budgets and achieving financial targets
• Proven track record in sales and distribution management, including broker consultant recruitment, retention and development
