Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

As a Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor you will represent Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) in the Vosloorus branch, delivering tailored financial advice and driving product uptake among entry‑level and emerging middle‑market clients.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM’s range of funeral, education, life cover and personal accident products.
• Provide sound, client‑focused financial advice and cross‑sell value‑added solutions.
• Validate client information against regulatory and product requirements and submit new business through the correct channels.
• Conduct due‑diligence checks, identify risks and manage client appointments while handling walk‑in customers.
• Maintain client relationships through payment reminders, follow‑ups, and support for policy changes or cancellations.
• Monitor and act on NTU (Not Taken Up) cases and ensure payment persistency.
• Stay updated on product changes and communicate these to clients.
• Escalate complex queries using the established escalation framework and provide timely feedback.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a focus on delivering high‑quality client service.
• In‑depth understanding of SRM product ranges and the ability to match them to client needs.
• Excellent communication skills to explain product features, regulatory requirements and payment options.
• Ability to manage daily appointment schedules and prioritize walk‑in clients.
• Attention to detail for validating client data and processing new business.
• Proactive approach to client retention, risk identification and problem resolution.
