Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

The Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor will work from the Modimolle Mall branch to promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products, provide sound financial advice and deliver a high level of client service. The role focuses on increasing market share through cross‑selling and optimisation of client portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM product range and create cross‑selling opportunities.
• Provide tailored financial advice based on customers' needs, goals and financial means.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product changes and inform clients accordingly.
• Validate client details, submit new business through proper channels and conduct due diligence.
• Prioritise daily appointments while handling walk‑in and non‑appointment clients.
• Service and manage client profiles, send payment reminders and follow‑up on queries.
• Monitor and control NTUs (clients not taken up) and take corrective actions.
• Ensure persistency of client payments and advise on alternative payment arrangements.
• Guide clients through policy cancellations, provide alternatives and resolve queries or escalate when needed.

Required profile

• Strong sales delivery mindset with an in‑depth understanding of SRM products.
• Ability to assess customer needs and match them with appropriate financial solutions.
• Proactive in updating product knowledge and communicating changes to clients.
• Attention to compliance, regulatory requirements and risk identification.
• Effective time‑management to balance appointments and walk‑in clients.
