Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor to join its Tshilamba Centre branch. In this role you will deliver tailored financial advice, promote the Sanlam Retail Mass product suite and help clients achieve their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM products and increase market share through cross‑selling and client optimisation.
• Provide sound financial advice and high‑level client service in a branch environment.
• Validate client details, submit new business and conduct due‑diligence in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily appointments, walk‑in clients and prioritize workload.
• Service existing client portfolios: send payment reminders, follow‑up, manage NTUs and ensure payment persistency.
• Assess client risk profiles, propose alternative payment arrangements and handle policy cancellations.
• Resolve client queries or escalate them using the established escalation framework.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product changes, compliance standards and continuous development initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a deep understanding of SRM product ranges.
• Ability to identify customer needs, financial goals and match appropriate solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and walk‑in traffic.
• Attention to regulatory compliance and risk identification.
• Proactive communication and follow‑up with clients.
