About the role

OVK Retail is seeking enthusiastic matriculants to join our team as a Branch Assistant in Training. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to retail operations within the agriculture sector, allowing you to develop practical skills while supporting daily store activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the branch team with customer service, sales, and product enquiries.
• Support inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Learn and apply basic financial and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with senior staff to gain insight into retail business operations.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification (subjects such as mathematics, accounting, agriculture or business are advantageous).
• Strong interest in a career in commerce and agriculture.
• Passion for customer service and marketing.
• Submission of a copy of the latest school report or matric certificate with the application.

Required skills

• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.
• Numerical aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
