Bookkeeper (Accounting Practice)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our established accounting practice in Johannesburg North. You will manage client accounts across a diverse portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain monthly cashbooks for multiple clients.
• Perform full bookkeeping functions up to trial balance.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, including VAT and PAYE.
• Handle client queries related to bookkeeping and tax matters.
• Ensure compliance with SARS and other statutory requirements.
• Assist with CIPC-related administration as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification (advantageous).
• At least 1 year of bookkeeping experience within an accounting practice.
• Experience with Pastel accounting software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SARS regulations.
