Binder, Stitcher & Finishing Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

The Binder, Stitcher and Finishing Operator will work in a fast‑paced print finishing environment, ensuring high‑quality output from specialised binding and stitching equipment. This full‑time position is based in Durban and reports to the Manufacturing/Print Finishing department.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage a Muller Martini Bolero binder equipped with PURSet.
• Run MBO folding machines and guillotines safely and efficiently.
• Control a fully automatic Muller Martini Prima Plus stitching machine.
• Monitor machine performance, maintain product quality, and minimise downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience in binding and finishing operations.
• Proven track record with Muller Martini Bolero binders and PURSet technology.
• Experience operating MBO folding machines, guillotines, and Muller Martini Prima Plus stitchers.
• Own reliable transport to the workplace.
