BESS Engineer – Solar & Battery Storage Projects

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Solar & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineer to lead the design and delivery of large‑scale renewable energy projects ranging from 1 MW to 10 MW. The role involves taking ownership of high‑value projects, driving technical design, costings and execution across utility‑scale and commercial installations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑level design of solar PV and BESS systems.
• Develop project costings, proposals and technical solutions.
• Oversee project execution from design through commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with EPCs, contractors and internal teams.
• Monitor project performance, timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership and support across projects.
• Identify risks and drive solutions to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–6 years experience in solar PV and BESS projects.
• Proven experience on large‑scale installations (1 MW–10 MW).
• Strong capability in system design and engineering calculations.
• Experience with project costing, budgeting and commercial inputs.
• Solid understanding of grid‑tied systems, inverters and battery technologies.
