About the role
The Bakery Trainer will lead the training, coaching and development of site staff across Sasol’s retail forecourt locations. The role ensures compliance with food safety, operational procedures and customer service standards while delivering consistent, high‑quality bakery products.
Key responsibilities
- Create and continuously update a menu suited to the convenience retail forecourt environment.
- Train staff on preparation methods, portion control and equipment operation to guarantee product consistency.
- Plan and execute weekly site‑visit schedules, assess operational standards and provide on‑site coaching.
- Deliver theoretical classroom training and practical on‑site sessions, including competency assessments.
- Maintain training records in the eLMS system.
- Support the opening of new retail sites by ensuring error‑free implementation of the food offering and training new teams.
Required profile
- Experience in bakery or food‑service operations.
- Proven ability to train, coach and develop staff in a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to travel regularly to multiple sites.
