Back of House Supervisor

About the role

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is seeking a Back of House Supervisor to support its Stewarding team. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, safety, and operational efficiency across back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure standing operating procedures are consistently followed.
• Contribute to positive health and safety audit outcomes.
• Perform quality checks on equipment, stores and designated areas.
• Assist with stock takes, identify discrepancies and support inventory control.
• Support staff training, performance management and coaching.
• Monitor casual labour costs, amenity usage and related expenses.
• Work in all weather conditions and perform heavy lifting as required.
• Provide flexibility for extended hours and public‑holiday shifts.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Supervisory experience in a food‑handling or back‑of‑house environment.
• Clerical experience with strong attention to detail.
• Customer‑focused, team‑player with good communication skills.
• Well‑presented, friendly and able to work under varied conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
