Azure Data Engineer – Enterprise Data Solutions

About the role

Our client is looking for experienced Azure Data Engineers to design, develop and maintain enterprise‑grade data platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will build modern ETL pipelines, create data warehouse solutions and support analytics initiatives while collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Azure‑based data engineering solutions.
• Build high‑performance ETL processes using Python in Azure Databricks and T‑SQL.
• Create and manage SQL stored procedures, functions and automated tests for data pipelines.
• Implement enterprise data warehouse models using recognised methodologies.
• Develop solutions with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics and ADLS Gen2.
• Support Microsoft Fabric and other Azure data products.
• Use Azure DevOps and source‑control for code management and deployment pipelines.
• Apply data‑governance practices, including Azure Purview where required.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable data solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and follow best‑practice development standards.
