AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

DVT is seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to join its cloud consulting team. You will work directly with enterprise clients across financial services, telecommunications, government and other sectors, driving the design, automation and reliability of their cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end production Kubernetes platform – reliability, scalability, observability and developer experience.
• Manage and upgrade K8s clusters, enforce RBAC, resource quotas and namespace policies.
• Configure autoscaling, node pools, capacity planning and multi‑cluster visibility via Rancher.
• Maintain a Helm chart library with versioning and values management across environments.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs, participate in on‑call rotation and lead incident response.
• Maintain monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), build alerting rules and ensure distributed tracing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, enforce security scanning and policy gates.
• Optimize workload sizing, report infrastructure spend and recommend cost‑saving actions.

Required profile

• Problem‑solver with strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
• Client‑facing consultant able to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Passion for continuous learning and driving innovation in cloud infrastructure.

Required skills

• 4+ years in infrastructure/platform/SRE roles.
• Production‑grade Kubernetes experience (CKA preferred).
• Strong Terraform expertise – remote state, modules, CI‑driven apply on Azure.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Helm, Rancher.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud best practices.
