Aviation Sales Manager

About the role

The Aviation Sales Manager will lead the sales function for the aviation segment, driving revenue growth while balancing profitability and customer satisfaction. This role requires close collaboration with customers, internal teams, and marketing to develop and execute commercial strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve set financial objectives, including sales volume, margin, and return on assets.
• Engage with customers to qualify opportunities, manage pursuit, and conduct account planning.
• Forecast sales, manage budgets, organise sales collateral, and maintain CRM compliance.
• Partner with marketing and business development to source leads and create value propositions.
• Build and develop sales talent, including onboarding, training, and coaching.
• Provide input to the annual budgeting process and ensure aviation sales budgets are met.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and improve sales forecasting accuracy.
• Manage pricing, rebates, discount levels and ensure full cost accounting.
• Oversee gross margin after variable expenses and resolve customer credit issues.
• Conduct variance analysis and business reviews, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Profile and segment customers, manage key accounts, and accelerate profit growth.
• Develop new business opportunities, implement promotions, and gather market intelligence.
