Automation Sales - Digital Mining Solutions

About the role

AFRITOP is looking for an Automation Sales professional to drive sales and business development of automation and digital mining solutions. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, engaging with mining clients and offering tailored technology solutions that improve productivity, safety and operational efficiency in the mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mine automation and digital transformation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining clients, OEMs and technology partners.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals in line with company targets.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through contract signing to post-sales support.
• Promote automation technologies such as remote operations, fleet management systems and machine guidance.
• Work with the technical team to deliver customised automation solutions and stay up to date on mining automation, robotics and digital system trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mining technology sales, automation systems or industrial equipment sales.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote sites; candidate must reside in South Africa.
• Professional communication and proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mine operations, automation systems, digital mining solutions or SCADA/PLC systems.
