Automation Engineer

About the role

Consilio is seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer to join a global, 24x7 team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions with a strong emphasis on infrastructure, VMware Aria (formerly VRO), and Ansible.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively both independently and within a team.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies.
• Administer and maintain managed systems following change‑control protocols.
• Create and update documentation covering system lifecycles.
• Manage lifecycle of automation components and prototype new concepts.
• Analyze project requirements and implement scripts or components for the automation platform.
• Handle project, task, and ticket management.
• Train team members and other groups on automation technologies.
• Provide assistance with additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of automation experience with Ansible, Aria Automation (VRO) or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise‑class infrastructure and data‑center topologies.
• Advanced scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Bash).
• Experience with VMware PowerCLI and core VMware concepts.
