Auto Electrician – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our team in Honeydew, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems across a variety of light, heavy, and earth‑moving vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and fix electrical faults on vehicles and equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting, ignition, and charging systems.
• Test, replace, and service alternators, starter motors, batteries, sensors and related components.
• Utilise computerized diagnostic tools and equipment to perform system checks.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records while complying with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified Auto Electrician trade certificate or equivalent.
• Proven experience with light vehicles, heavy vehicles or earth‑moving equipment.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence and good communication skills.
