Audit Manager - Large & Complex (KZN)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead large and complex audit engagements within the Public Commercial sector in KwaZulu‑Natal. You will support senior leadership in delivering high‑quality audit services while driving profitability and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Manager in delivering designated audit engagements and managing implementation of agreed deliverables.
• Oversee team performance on client sites, ensuring adherence to audit engagement agreements and quality standards.
• Manage engagement budgets, control costs and monitor profitability.
• Contribute to regional business development, including cross‑service line selling and industry initiatives.
• Lead talent management activities, sharing expertise and mentoring team members.
• Ensure risk and quality management processes are followed throughout the engagement.

Required profile

• CA (SA) qualified with at least one year post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience in a client‑facing management role within audit, preferably in the public commercial industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit teams, budgets and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
