Audit Manager – Financial Services (Cape Town)

About the role

PwC is seeking an Audit Manager to join its Financial Services, Insurance and Investment division in Cape Town. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality audits for large clients in the financial services sector, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage special projects, overseeing planning, budgeting, execution and completion.
• Lead risk management activities and monitor project costs.
• Develop staff through coaching, performance management and training.
• Drive business development and nurture client relationships.
• Oversee work‑in‑progress, debtors and ensure compliance with PwC audit methodology.
• Prepare audit reports and travel up to 20% of the time.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months post‑article experience.
• CA(SA) qualification.
• Specialist knowledge of the financial services industry and IFRS.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• High attention to detail, excellent communication and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PwC audit software and related tools.
• In‑depth experience applying IFRS standards.
