Audit Manager – Cape Town

About the role

EY is seeking an Audit Manager to join its Cape Town team. You will work on challenging projects across a wide spectrum of companies, helping clients anticipate and manage the impact of rapid business transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements, annual reports and AGM documentation to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
• Identify potential audit issues or unusual trends through detailed analytical trend analysis.
• Provide definitive auditing services to insurance markets and other clients, supporting them in reporting and audit matters.
• Operate effectively in a regulated environment, protecting capital markets and the investing public.
• Deliver exceptional client service while working on‑site in client environments.

Required profile

• BCom Honours and a qualified CA(SA) designation.
• 2‑4 years post‑article experience in assurance or auditing.
• Strong critical‑thinking and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and technical writing skills.
• Curiosity, sociability and a passion for protecting financial markets.

Required skills

• Knowledge of South African auditing standards and regulations.
