Audit & Accounts Senior – Remote (CA(SA) qualified)

About the role

We are a chartered accountancy firm serving clients in the UK and South Africa. We are looking for a fully qualified CA(SA) to join us as an Audit & Accounts Senior on a 100% remote basis. The role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who can manage audit engagements and statutory accounts independently while collaborating with a distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, preparing and reviewing working papers in line with ISA requirements.
• Identify audit risks, design procedures, and draft audit findings, management letters and reports.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements (FRS102) and ensure compliance with the Companies Act and relevant accounting standards.
• Review trial balances, reconciliations, supporting schedules and assist with consolidations where needed.
• Act as primary client contact, manage deadlines, budgets and deliverables, and mentor junior team members remotely.
• Support managers and partners with ad‑hoc technical and advisory tasks.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) – CA(SA) and completed SAICA articles.
• Strong audit and financial reporting knowledge with proven experience in audit and accounts preparation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple remote engagements and communicate effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with CCH, Xero or QuickBooks (or similar accounting systems).
