Associate Tele‑underwriting Consultant (Afrikaans) – Port Elizabeth

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Tele‑underwriting Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The role involves handling outbound calls to confirm coverage and address queries after new proposals are captured in our system. Fluency in Afrikaans is essential as you will be communicating with Afrikaans‑speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to confirm insurance cover and answer client questions following electronic or paper proposal submissions.
• Monitor internal service level agreements to meet target turnaround times.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting teams and assist in quality assurance of captured data.
• Escalate any data issues or discrepancies to the appropriate team.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with Maths Literacy or NFS Level 3.
• Strong telephone etiquette and experience in a call‑centre or customer‑service environment.
• Familiarity with health‑related terminology is an advantage.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Proactive, able to multitask and manage time independently.
