Associate Attorney – Litigation & Commercial Law

About the role

The law firm is looking for a motivated Associate Attorney with strong expertise in litigation and commercial law to join its dynamic team in Pretoria. This position offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of cases, handling matters from inception through to finalisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general and commercial litigation matters independently.
• Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Coordinate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Required profile

• Admitted attorney with 3‑5 years post‑admission experience.
• Demonstrated experience in general litigation, commercial litigation and commercial law.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Ghost Practice legal software.
