Associate Attorney – Commercial Law & Insolvency

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team in Pretoria East. The successful candidate will work on commercial law matters and insolvency cases, providing high‑quality legal support to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial transactions and related legal issues.
• Manage and support insolvency proceedings, including drafting and filing documents.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal instruments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda for senior attorneys.
• Liaise with clients, courts and external counsel to ensure timely case progression.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice in South Africa.
• Experience in commercial law and insolvency matters; newly admitted or junior attorneys will also be considered.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
