Assistant Store Manager – Norwood

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional service and driving sales at our Norwood store. You will play a key role in achieving financial targets, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring a great customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day store operations and compliance.
• Drive sales through promotional activities, cross‑selling and up‑selling initiatives.
• Manage stock, monitor shrinkage and oversee expense control.
• Execute visual merchandising standards and maintain store appearance.
• Motivate and guide team members, covering managerial duties when required.
• Maintain daily work schedules in line with labour policies.
• Implement customer service initiatives to boost loyalty and club‑card participation.
• Handle administrative tasks, including time‑keeping and employee record submission.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with at least 50% in Maths and English.
• Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (or degree).
• Minimum 1 year experience in an assistant store management role or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.

Required skills

• Financial management (budgeting, profit & loss analysis).
• Stock management and shrinkage control.
• Visual merchandising and in‑store presentation.
