Assistant Sales

About the role

The Assistant Sales will support the driver/salesperson in daily delivery operations of Premier products, ensuring timely departures, safe vehicle handling and accurate cash collection where required. This role combines elements of logistics, customer interaction and basic administrative tasks within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify loaded products against the loading sheet and obtain signatures.
• Adhere to scheduled departure times and maintain vehicle safety and hygiene standards.
• Collect cash from customers, record daily cash receipts and assist with cash reconciliation.
• Unload products at customer locations and ensure proper handling.
• Report any accidents immediately to the transport department and Service Manager.
• Assist the driver with truck reversing following company SOPs.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence; PDP is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in the FMCG sector (preferred).
• Good people‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, responsible and able to communicate at all organisational levels.

• Basic computer skills.
