About the role

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Mama Shelter, you will be the right‑hand to the restaurant’s heartbeat, ensuring a vibrant, high‑energy dining experience for every guest. Working on the floor, you will lead the team in real time, solve issues as they arise, and help turn each service into a memorable social moment.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the guest experience by engaging with patrons, building rapport, and resolving feedback quickly and positively.
• Support daily operations including opening, closing, floor management, and coordination between kitchen, bar, and front‑of‑house teams.
• Drive commercial performance by monitoring sales trends, upselling opportunities, and controlling labour, waste, and operational costs.
• Motivate and lead the front‑of‑house team, providing training, onboarding, and continuous coaching.
• Collaborate closely with culinary, bar, and events teams to ensure seamless service flow and cleanliness.

Required profile

• Strong presence on the floor with the ability to lead and make decisions in real time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, energetic attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain service flow, and support cost‑control initiatives.
