Assistant Reservations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Reservations Manager leads the reservations team to exceed guest expectations while maximizing hotel revenue. This position oversees the full lifecycle of FIT, Group and Event bookings and ensures seamless data flow between OPERA Cloud and TARS.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily performance and workflow of the reservations team, ensuring compliance with policies under the Reservations Manager’s guidance.
• Maintain absolute accuracy in OPERA Cloud and TARS, capturing reservations, market codes and guest profiles.
• Own the administrative lifecycle for groups and events, including rooming lists, block monitoring and special requests.
• Monitor telephone and email standards, provide hands‑on training and ensure luxury service standards are consistently met.
• Record company, travel‑agent and FIT rates, and proactively alert the Reservations Manager to changes in hotel availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel reservations operations and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of revenue‑maximising strategies and inventory control.
• Ability to work closely with the Revenue Manager and provide accurate operational data.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to luxury service standards.
