About the role
Buscor (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to support the maintenance operations at its Malelane depot. The role involves assisting senior mechanics with routine upkeep of the bus fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe and operational.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs of the bus fleet at the Malelane depot.
- Perform basic inspections, diagnostics, and minor repairs on buses and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring tools and parts are properly stored.
- Provide standby support during irregular hours as required.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 10 education and successful completion of N3 courses.
- At least 2 years practical experience as an Assistant Mechanic.
- Valid driver’s licence and PRDP.
- Punctual, responsible and medically fit.
- Ability to work irregular hours and standby duty.
- Clean criminal record and traceable references.
