Assistant Director – Compliance Inspectorate

About the role

The Assistant Director will lead the compliance inspectorate, overseeing the planning, execution and reporting of inspections across health establishments, ensuring adherence to national health standards and managing associated risks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out inspections and re‑inspections of health facilities.
• Validate, complete and submit inspection reports with recommendations.
• Participate in orientation and training of other employees.
• Manage resources, account for their use and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in health sciences and a current practising registration with the relevant council.
• Minimum five years experience in health care services, direct patient care, quality assurance/improvement or inspection processes.
• Must have an understanding and knowledge of the inspection of health facilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively, work outside normal hours and hold a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Report writing, problem‑solving, decision‑making and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
