Asset Owner – Labeller (Manufacturing)

About the role

Coca‑Cola Beverages Africa is seeking an Asset Owner – Labeller to join its Midrand plant. Reporting to the Engineering Technical Manager, you will be responsible for maximising the reliability, availability and maintainability of labelling equipment across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor asset condition and performance using KPIs and maintenance records, driving improvements in equipment uptime and OEE.
• Lead root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) for recurring issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain asset lifecycle plans, including refurbishment, replacement and upgrade strategies.
• Define and optimise preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance programmes aligned with asset criticality.
• Ensure accurate asset master data, technical specifications and Bills of Materials are kept up‑to‑date in SAP.
• Provide expert technical support during breakdowns, shutdowns and overhauls, and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage asset risk, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental and statutory regulations.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for assigned assets and collaborate with production, reliability, projects and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in asset management or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
