Assembly Designer – Retail Solutions (Verulam)

About the role

We are looking for an Assembly Designer to create detailed drawings for retail‑solution display structures in the Verulam area. You will translate concepts and sketches into production‑ready 2D and 3D CAD documentation, supporting the design and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop assembly, detailed and production‑ready drawings for structural display solutions.
• Convert design concepts, sketches and briefs into accurate 2D and 3D CAD models.
• Ensure all dimensions, specifications, materials and assembly details are clearly defined.
• Collaborate with Structural Design, Production, Estimating, Traffic and other departments to verify practicality and manufacturability.
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality and ease of assembly, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
• Conduct basic checks on dimensions, tolerances, fit and alignment.
• Maintain compliance with company drawing standards and quality requirements.
• Deliver work within agreed project timelines while maintaining high accuracy.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Product Design or Industrial Design.
• 1–2 years experience in a drawing office, structural design studio or similar environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time‑management and willingness to learn and adapt.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Rhino.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (advantage).
