About the role

The National Prosecuting Authority is offering a twelve‑month Aspirant Prosecutor training programme. Selected candidates will undergo structured training, formal assessments and an entry examination to qualify as prosecutors.

Key responsibilities

Complete the 12‑month training curriculum and pass all continuous assessments.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policy directives issued by the National Director of Public Prosecutions.
Participate in the entry examination and, upon successful completion, be considered for placement as a prosecutor.

Required profile

Holds a complete LLB degree or an equivalent foreign qualification accredited by SAQA (final‑year LLB students may apply).
South African citizenship and no prior practical vocational training for legal practitioners.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, professionally, accountably and with credibility.

Annual salary ranging from R252 855 to R292 596 (LP‑1 to LP‑2).
