Area Manager - Security Operations

About the role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for an Area Manager based in Robertville, reporting to the Regional Manager. The post manages several Operations Managers across client liaison, HR and IR matters, fleet management, expense control, investigations and the posting of security officers, ensuring site security requirements are met and clients' needs are handled professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain good relations with the client on security services delivered and evaluate service levels, recommending improvements
• Manage allocated areas so contractual requirements are met and ensure all security officers meet those requirements
• Supervise security staff and deal with all administration matters
• Liaise daily with management and Regional Management on operational issues
• Handle HR queries promptly, formulate disciplinary actions and submit employment forms to the Regional Office
• Submit weekly and monthly incident and general reports, investigate incidents and report on them

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; PSIRA Grade A registration
• Valid driver's licence with own reliable transport
• At least 10 years' experience in the security industry and 5 years in operational security management
• Staff management experience and knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency
• No criminal record or pending cases

• Expert knowledge of the full Microsoft package
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system
• Sound planning, administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
