Apache Kafka Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Apache Kafka Administrator to join our high‑performing middleware and integration team supporting enterprise banking platforms. You will be responsible for administering, monitoring and optimising Kafka clusters to ensure secure, reliable and high‑performing event streaming services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Apache Kafka clusters across enterprise environments.
• Configure brokers, topics, partitions and consumer groups.
• Monitor platform health, performance and capacity, and implement alerting.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Implement replication, high availability and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Configure security using SSL, SASL and authentication mechanisms.
• Support Kafka Connect, Schema Registry and Kafka Streams implementations.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and operations teams.
• Handle production incidents, platform upgrades and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven production support capability in enterprise banking environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
• Effective documentation skills.
