Airport Services Supervisor – Johannesburg

About the role

The Airport Services Supervisor ensures that Emirates' ground operations in Johannesburg run smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver a high‑quality passenger experience while protecting company revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operational disruptions such as over‑bookings, weather impacts or crew limitations and implement remedial actions.
• Brief handling agents, caterers and other service providers on daily requirements and special handling instructions.
• Oversee post‑flight activities, including baggage claim processing, revenue protection and dead‑load handling at onward stations.
• Respond to passenger queries, complaints and claims promptly to restore confidence.
• Support ticket desk operations and perform ticketing/reservation duties when needed.
• Coach and develop airport services agents, conduct performance reviews and ensure compliance with service standards.
• Verify credit‑card transactions and travel documents diligently.
• Liaise with contracted staff overseeing catering, cleaning and maintenance services.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work and reside in South Africa.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑focused attitude.
• Experience supervising multi‑disciplinary teams in an airport or similar environment.
